There is a theory that Lord Rama, Lakshmanand and Sister Sita rested here in the fourteenth year of Vavasam. Mount Nelliyampathy. This beautiful place has many tea plantations, lush green forests and beautiful views of Ariel. Although the history of tourism in this region is not well documented in terms of dates and progress, it is slowly becoming more popular with the general public due to its magnificent scenery and serene surroundings. An important point in the tourism history of Kerala is the establishment of Nelliyampathy as a hill station during the British colonial period, where the warm climate of the plains demonstrates the potential of the region as a remote destination. and the Ministry of Tourism is working tirelessly to promote eco-tourism in the region and make the Seethargundu viewpoint more accessible and accessible to international tourists. The view is named after an ancient story in the Ramayana epic where Sita, wife of Lord Rama, is believed to have descended into the rock, hence it has historical and mythological significance for many visitors.
